We’d love to have you join MOCHA!  You’ll be included in our email list and will receive all the communications we distribute throughout the year.

In light of the country’s struggling economy and the personal impact it has on so many families, MOCHA has decided to discontinue collecting membership dues!  We want to provide support and information to all those who need it, without placing any financial burden on families already struggling to meet the needs of their food-allergic members. 

We are, however, strongly encouraging everyone to participate in the Children’s Memorial Hospital Food Allergy Study!  Click here to find out how.

MOCHA will no longer send out the large bi-yearly paper mailing packets.  We will continue to produce periodic newsletters, however, which will be posted on this website.

MOCHA will continue to distribute emails to all those who would like to be included in the MOCHA-Talks email list and will frequently upload new information on this website. 

MOCHA will continue to have our usual five meetings per year.  These are so informative – don’t miss out!  Anyone is invited to attend our meetings.  You do not have to be a member.  Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 13th, 2010, from 7-9 pm at Highland Park Hospital, 777 Park Avenue West, Highland Park, IL  60035.   For directions, click here. 

For those who would like to make a donation in honor of MOCHA, we suggest donating directly to: 

-       Children’s Memorial Hospital:  By following this link, you can donate online and specify that your gift be used for the Division of Allergy and Immunology.

-       FAI Chicago:  Follow this link and click on the "Donate" tab.  You can donate specifically to FAI Chicago, and in honor of MOCHA if you choose.

-       FAAN:  Follow this link and click on "Donate Now" to support FAAN’s national mission.  You can specify in honor of MOCHA if you wish.


Keychain for a Cure!   

 
As a personal expression of thanks for donating $100 or more in honor of MOCHA to any of these three organizations, Denise Bunning would like to give donors a special food allergy keychain that she designed in collaboration with She Beads. The keychain has a bead denoting each of the nine most common food allergens. The keychain is valued at $25. You can give Denise a check made out to any of these three organizations (Children’s Memorial, FAI Chicago or FAAN) at any MOCHA meeting and she will forward it on.
